Billy Oilchanger is a race car that formerly competed in the Piston Cup Racing Series for the Octane Gain racing team with the number 58. He was superseded by Bobby Swift later on.

History

In Cars, Billy competes in the Dinoco 400 race at the the Motor Speedway of the South, Motor City, United States, which was the final race of the 2005 Piston Cup season that year. During the race he was seen in top positions on the track. After Chick Hicks caused a huge accident between the majority of the competitors, Oilchanger stopped on the track in front of Claude Scruggs, with whom he exchanged nervous laughter with, after that they were both hit by other cars. He received small damages and went into the pits to continue racing.

Between Cars and Cars 3

Between the events of Cars and Cars 3, Billy retired from racing in the Piston Cup and as such the Octane Gain team replaced him with Bobby Swift.

Physical description

Billy Oilchanger is a Sherpa Motors Iota GT. He uses Lightyear racing tires. He has silver-purple eyes. Billy has a orange livery with yellow and black stripes painted on his sides. He has the logo of Octane Gain on his hood and backsides and white number 58 on doors, roof, right sticker headlight and and left sticker taillight. His rim color is orange with a yellow outline.

"It's Billy Oilchanger's dream to become a racing color commentator after he retires. He's watched all the greats, like Darrell Cartrip and Bob Cutlass over the years, and even practices announcing by calling the races out loud to himself while he's in them. It's great experience, though the other drivers find it distracting and a little creepy."
